my another poem won poetry Challenge on Wilda Morris’s Blog

my poem “Shoes, secret face of an inner life”  won Jan 2013 Challenge on Wilda Morris’s Blog…  please check awards link for more

Shoes, secret face of an inner life
shy and quiet,
sitting in the corner,
with mouths open dry―

waiting to be put on,
pacing mile after mile,

wondering who will
spare a glimpse at you,
and demand another pair.

My poem “The Tea Grows Cold” is now on Honorable Mentions for 15th Mattia Poetry contest.

Glad to be invited to do another reading as Poets in Schools

glad to be invited to present my Poetry Alive event for Francis Libermann High School, in Scarborough for April, National Poetry Month.

There will be a mixed group of students (Grade 12th and 10th), I will select more advanced haiku, free verse and concrete poems by myself which focus on relationships, nature beauty, history and the events of our daily lives too. I will show them that how a simple scene can be developed into a profound poem through editing and thinking about it from different angles. There will be a lot of fun and challenge for them as well such as to discuss Frida’s paintings.  Looking forward to it! (星子被邀请去学校读诗)
